In 1402, a group of nutrition professors and graduates came together to create a professional organization and optimally utilize the capabilities of nutrition graduates in improving the health of the community. After discussion and exchange of opinions, they decided to establish a provincial nutrition association. Thus, the founding board of the nutrition association was formed, consisting of Dr. Hamed Jafari, Dr. Nafiseh Goodarzi Zadeh, Amin Taraghani, Zahrahamidi, Leila Daneshpour, Azadeh Erfanifar, Ali Bajlani, Rezvan Mansouri, and Mitra Yari.
After that, by holding numerous meetings about the goals, executive strategies, and areas of activity of the association, they drafted the relevant statute and followed up on the administrative steps of registering the association through the central governorate.
This association officially began its activities at the provincial level with the approval of the Ministry of Interior and the title of “Central Nutritionists Association” in 1403.
